The Opportunity The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and merchandise by analysing demands, lead time and other supply chain factors to ensure that the high service level (DIFOT) is maintained for factories and King Living customers at the optimal inventories and costs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing categories, communicating with suppliers, and identifying opportunities for process and system optimisation.
Responsibilities
Calculate and update future demand forecast and safety stock for raw materials and merchandise.
Analyse current and future demand forecasts to reduce airfreight logistical costs.
Leverage data-driven insights to drive decision-making processes across the organisation.
Investigate and identify the reasons behind forecast inaccuracies and implement solutions.
Encourage open communication and constructive feedback among team members.
Organise and lead forecasting meetings, ensuring on objectives among stakeholders.
Develop strategies to efficiently manage inventory levels and optimise cash flow.
Maintain efficient management of inventory policies.
Refine the S&OP process to align sales forecasts with operational capabilities, enhancing organisational performance.
Establish strong communication links with factory teams to share forecasts and incorporate their feedback.
Qualifications/Experience
Demonstrated expertise in demand and supply planning, emphasising forecasting and inventory management to prevent stockouts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator and collaborator across departments and with external stakeholders.
Tertiary qualification in supply chain management or related field.
Openness to diversity, innovation, and automation in processes.
Advanced Excel proficiency, with experience in SAP preferred.
Skilled in using Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
